Shabby Princess Digital Scrapbooking Challenge

I absolutely love Shabby Princess scrapbooking supplies. They are the first website I found with free digital kits - I have downloaded all of them, and that is where I turn when I find myself in a rut. Their supplies are just so gorgeous!

Every month they have a 'template challenge.' It's great for beginners like me, because you get to download a free template to work with, and the winner is random, not based on your page.

This month I couldn't resist doing a page on Cadence's new sweater. Unfortunately, I couldn't choose just two photos, so I altered the template a little ;)

Here is the original template. To download it or find out more information about Shabby Princess or their challenges, just click on the picture.

Free Digital Scrapbooking Template

Whew - It's been a while! I haven't been doing much of anything since James was born, but I made this template to use on some of my pictures and thought I might as well share. Click on the image to download the template.

Here is what I did with it - apparently I can't ever leave a template unaltered, even if I'm the one who made it, and even if I made it with specific details in mind. Sigh.

Matchbook Scrapbook - Hybrid Project

This was a fun gift idea I saw somewhere. The brag book is the same basic shape as a matchbook, although I changed the layout a bit so the pages wouldn't fall out. I did the pages digitally, then printed and assembled.

I also made some little note sheets in a matchbook style:

Paint 'n Gears - Free Scrapbooking Kit

Hello - long time no post! This summer has been pretty crazy, but somewhere along the way I started playing around with this kit, and finally finished it :) It's based on a dress my daughter has, my husband said it looked like a smock, so I made a painting themed kit to scrapbook some pictures of her painting. To download the kit, just click here.

There are more elements than are shown here, mostly variations and different colors of the same ones.

Here are some pages I just made for her using this kit:

A Free Scrapbooking Template

I made this fun page using freebies from the Sunny Daffodils blog train. I had so much fun creating the template before I started, I thought I would share.

Discovering Digital Scrapbooking

Nonnie made this dress a long, long time ago. When we found out we were having a girl, Mommy kindly gifted us with this dress. I was so excited Cadence grew into it just in time for Easter!

I am loving this digital scrapbooking thing. I'm not very good at it yet, but it's something I can quietly do without making a mess! These are brag book pages I made for Tony and I - enjoy! (The supplies are not ones I designed, they were free on the internet from various sources.)

Magnetic Paper Dolls - Church Fun!

I made these for some of the nieces for their birthdays. I don't know if they are having fun with them, but I sure liked them! I will make some for Cadence when she is a little older...

Kristina sent me the link to this tutorial - you can find it here.

Party Hats!

Cadence had a "party" themed party this year. Original huh? ;)

Anyway - at the party all the kids made party hats. Here is my sample:

I set out supplies for each kid. You can see the hat lying flat (blue). I just opened up a store bought hat and traced it, but through trial and error you could get the same shape. When we were done we stapled them shut.

The cake was super easy. It is just a rectangle cake, and I cut circles and strips out of ready to use fondant. The cupcake toppers are miniatures of the hat pattern attached with toothpicks.

Sorry about the blurry invitation pictures - I was using an old camera.

Elephant Tracks - Free Digital Scrapbooking Kit

The other day someone gave me an absolutely adorable toy elephant for James. I could not resist this elephant. And so I made my very first digital scrapbooking kit. That was an adventure! Lots of tutorials later, I have a very unprofessional kit to share with you :) I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Here is a preview - there are a few more variations included of a few of the elements:

Here is the brag book I made for Tony and I using this kit:

You can download the kit here - let me know what you think, and please tell me any problems you encounter! Remember this is my first attempt at anything like this, so be kind please :)

I'm not sure how long I will leave this available, we will see what happens!

Terms of Use: You may add textures, shadows, etc. for your own use. Please send people to my blog to download the kit rather than sharing with them. For private use only.
